Cory D. Raines

Cory D. Raines is a legal AI consultant, entrepreneur, and founder of Raines Legal Group and PROTIPPZ. His work focuses on the intersection of law, artificial intelligence, business, sports, and emerging technology.

Through Raines Legal Group, Cory writes about Legal AI, AI implementation and evaluation, NIL and college sports, contracts, business law, and developments affecting the legal industry. His work in Legal AI includes the training and evaluation of advanced AI systems, with a focus on legal reasoning, reliability, and the application of AI to real-world legal work.

Cory Raines began his legal career with Atlanta-based law firms, where his work included litigation and bankruptcy matters. He later built a practice focused on entertainment and sports law, advising established and emerging professionals on contracts, business strategy, licensing, management, touring, record deals, and civil and business disputes.

Cory currently works as a Legal Expert and Consultant with SpaceXAI, where he contributes to the training and evaluation of advanced artificial intelligence systems, including Grok and related technologies. His work focuses on legal reasoning, complex legal analysis, model evaluation, and the application of AI to real-world legal tasks and workflows.

In addition, Cory is the founder of PROTIPPZ, an NIL-focused platform designed to create new opportunities for athletes and creators to monetize their audiences and engage directly with supporters.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. During law school, he interned with The Coca-Cola Company and gained experience with multiple legal organizations.

Cory is based in Atlanta, Georgia. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys international travel, reading, music, sports, and exploring new restaurants.
